Roof
This September, the Streamline Team was busy completing projects in 23 different towns around Mid Michigan, including a stunning roofing project in Farmington Hills. As fall gets into full swing and leaves start to flutter down from the trees, our team will be out and about repairing and installing gutters, and prepping homes for the cold weather ahead.
We’re also thrilled to announce that our 3rd Annual Roof for a Vet campaign is underway for 2026, with applications now open! Being able to help a local veteran has been such an honor for our entire team, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to reward another veteran for their sacrifice to our country. If you are a veteran, or know a veteran in need of a new roof, make sure to apply before the end of October for a chance to be selected as this year’s Roof for a Vet winner.
Have a great day!

This month, the Streamline team went out to Farmington Hills to outfit this house with a beautiful new GAF UHDZ Roof in the color Weathered Wood. We love how this project turned out, adding contrast to the brick exterior and bringing new curb appeal to an already stunning home.

As the cold air sets in during the fall season, it’s important to look ahead to the coming winter months, and make sure that your home is prepared. Common culprits of heat loss include windows and doors, so knowing when your windows may be underperforming is a helpful tool to keep energy costs down when the heater kicks on.
If you want to test how your windows are doing, the easiest way is to run your hand along the edges of your windows on a cold day. If you notice cold air running through the window, it might be a sign that the window or the seal around the frame isn’t performing well. Another helpful indicator is condensation within the glass panes of the window, which signifies that the insulating seal of the window isn’t up to standard. An important factor to note is that a cold window doesn’t necessarily mean that the window needs to be replaced, and the most crucial signs are cold drafts of air and condensation within the glass panes.
If you notice any irregularities, or want a second opinion from a professional, Streamline offers free thermal energy audits to help you identify any inefficiencies and heat loss in your home.
